McDonough Delivers Career Fastest Race in Final Meet at PAISAA Championships.
Braedan McDonough saved his best for last.
At the PAISAA Championships on February 15, 2026, the Germantown Academy senior competed in three events in his final high school indoor meet and walked away with a personal best, a finals appearance, and eight team points.
He opened the day on the 4x200 meter relay. McDonough helped power Germantown Academy to a seventh place finish in 1:35.86, earning two team points and setting the tone early.Next came the 60 meter dash. After qualifying earlier in the day, McDonough stepped onto the line for the final and delivered the fastest race of his career. He ran 7.15, a personal best, and placed fifth overall. The performance earned four team points and marked the strongest 60 meter race of his high school career. In his last championship final as a senior, he ran his fastest time. He etched his name as one of the fastest runners in the state.
He closed the meet in the 200 meters. McDonough clocked 22.94 to finish seventh, adding two more points for Germantown Academy in a deep and competitive field.
Across three events, he scored eight total points for his team. He contributed on a relay, reached a championship final, and set a personal record in his final meet wearing the Germantown Academy uniform.
He leaves the track as a graduate this year having finished the season on his fastest performance. He closes his indoor career with one of the fastest 60 meter performances by a high school senior this season. His 7.15 personal best places him among the top championship sprinters in the state of Pennsylvania this year. He did not ease into the finish line of his career. He accelerated through it.
