Old Tappan improved to 4-0 with a straight-set victory over Pascack Valley on Friday afternoon, winning 25-17, 25-15.
Julia Whaley powered the Golden Knights with 11 kills and 2 blocks, while her sister Nadine added 4 kills and 3 blocks. Setter Joley Giordano controlled the offense with 17 assists and 5 digs. Gabriela Paltag chipped in 5 kills and a block, and Desi Malafis anchored the defense with 8 digs and 3 aces.
For Pascack Valley, Gianna Siller led the attack with 5 kills. Alexa Gade added 3 kills, 1 block, and 1 ace, while setter Celia Torres tallied 10 assists and 5 digs. Libero Maddy Romero kept the defense steady with a match-high 11 digs.
Old Tappan’s balanced attack and strong serving set the tone early, keeping control throughout both sets to secure the 2-0 sweep.
