Rye Neck off to a strong start

Rye Neck delivered a strong effort in the Small Boys 4x400 Meter Relay, finishing fourth overall with a time of 3:50.88.

Will Delaney, Evan, Brady Sergio, and Rintaro Takahashi combined for a composed and disciplined race. Each leg held form and protected position in a fast final. Clean handoffs kept momentum steady across all four exchanges.

The Panthers stayed competitive throughout the race and held position against a tight field. Their time placed them ahead of several programs and within seconds of first place. The performance showed solid pacing, clean exchanges, and depth across all four legs. A fourth place finish in a championship relay reflects a growing group. Rye Neck showed poise under pressure and proved they belong among the top small school relay teams in New York.

Delaney sets a new PR in the 600

William Delaney delivered a statement performance at the Section 1 League Championships. Racing in the Boys 600 Meter Run, Delaney won Heat 2 in 1:36.13 to take first place. The race produced a new personal record. He established position early, controlled the pace, and closed decisively over the final laps. Competing for Rye Neck at the Section 1 League Championship, Delaney showed composure, strength, and efficiency. The performance marked a key step forward and confirmed his upward trajectory this season as he finished 6th overall in the section. Delaney is a rising star.
